I'm Jim Dyer and for the past six years, I have been the Republican Senator from Senate District 26.

I was elected the Arapahoe County Board of County Commissioners at the November, 2006 General Election, and will be resigning my State Senate seat in a few weeks. Once I have resigned the seat, the Secretary of State will announce the vacancy, and the District 26 vacancy committee will meet to select a successor to complete the unexpired portion of my Senate term.

It has been my great privilege and it has been an honor to represent the citizens of Senate Disrict 26 these past six years, and it is a time in my life that I will always treasure. I thank all of those with whom I have been privileged to work, and all those who have unselfishly supported me during my Senate term.

As an Arapahoe County Commissioner, I will continue to work for reliable water supplies for our county, continued economic growth and strength and for the security of our homes and families. Please do not hesitate to contact me at the Arapahoe County offices.
